Clinic
A never-before thought-of idea was turned into reality within
less than a week of conceptualization, on Sunday 1st August 2010. The idea
is to provide a place for interaction where students and employees both
fresh and experienced will be able to avail of career guidance and
suggestions from HR and employment experts.
Since our inception we have been working towards the
upliftment of youth through education facilities and vocational training. We
have been involved in such activities through community projects in and
outside Kolkata.
This is one of our small initiatives wherein we strive to provide free
career counseling to those youth who do not have access to expensive courses
in different streams for both under graduation and plus-12 levels.
Our service to society through Rotary Career Clinic include career
counselling, career crisis resolution and options of jobs
for the needy and unemployed.
All the above services are absolutely free to the society. The facility will
be available every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
How it works: [For candidates] 1.
Registration:
Option a)
Candidate can register by filling up registration form at the clinic and
reserving his/her time for any of the 3 days of the week. The tentative
booking has to be confirmed at least 30 minutes before actual time at the
clinic itself.
Option b)
One can register at
www.rotaryrenaissance.org and fill up an online form with tentative date
booking. Again the same has to be confirmed at least 30 minutes before due
time at the clinic.
Option c)
One can walk-in on the appointed day and book his/her seat provided the same
is available for that day. Its strictly first come first served basis.
2. Availing of services:
Rotary will make available an expert panel of professionals to the
registered candidates. These experts with many years of experience behind
them are all giving voluntary service for the betterment of our youth.
Rotary Clinic has currently arranged to provide experts in the field of
Information Technology, Construction, Pharma, Finance, Banking,
Infrastructure, Law and Chartered Accountancy.
Candidates will be given the following three services: Career counselling,
job assistance and career conflict resolution. Candidates can fill up the
registration form with their specific requests and proper time with the
allotted expert will be arranged for them.
NOTE: Rotary does not in any way guarantee a job or resolution of all
career conflicts to any candidate. We will do our best and that too free of
cost but the outcome of our efforts are not always in our hands. Hence
candidates must approach with this information very clearly in their minds.
3. How you can help: We invite support from
corporates to share their manpower requirements. We invite voluntary service
from youngsters specially from the Rotaract and Interact family as this
would be a unique learning experience for them also. We also invite experts
to come on board our Rotary career clinic advisory council which is a forum
of experts in various domains who pledge to give at least 8 hours every
month to this initiative. |
